The next marathhon
Our next marathon is coming April 29th. Bigger and better. This Time Jon and I will be playing for the Good Shepard Food Bank here in Maine. Your donations will help feed hungry people. Stay tuned for more information.

Success!
Our first marathon was a great success. I even made a great venn diagram which explains what we actually did.
Not only did we reach our goal of raising $500 for the Save the Children Haiti Earthquake Children in Emergency Fund, we exceeded it by over $300. Our current amount raised is $795. We still have a few people who are sending us a check so will will certainly break the $800 mark.
A few more stats:
- We never dropped below 3 viewers on the live feed. (Shout out to you guys who stayed up all night)
- We had over 2000 viewers total on the live feed.
- Jon and Tim we up a combined total of 75 hours.
Thanks to all who watched and donated to help our cause. The children of Haiti certainly need every bit of it.
We are planning another marathon so stay tuned.
Gaming Marathon for Save the Children Haiti Earthquake Children in Emergency Fund
Our first charity gaming marathon is coming up!
Starting at 4 pm on 1/21/10 Tim and Jon will attempt to stay awake for 24 hours playing video games to raise money for the Save the Children Haiti Earthquake Children in Emergency Fund and you get to watch it happen LIVE!
If you would like to donate to the cause click the orange “ChipIn!” button to the right of the page. We are attempting to raise $500 (though more would be awesome!) and donations for this marathon end on 1/23/10. All proceeds will be donated to help the families of Haiti in this time of dire need.
Other than donating money, there are other ways to help out:
- Spread the word through your social networks. Use the hashtag #meg4c
- Watch the live stream and keep us going. The higher the viewer count the better.
- Chat with us and let us know what you think of our gaming skillz
- If you are one of our teacher friends, please tell your students and encourage them to get involved. We would love to have them send us games made in Scratch (or anything else) to play during the marathon. It wouldn’t hurt to let them watch us on Friday either.
- Give more money! The wreckage in Haiti is unimaginable. Please give to the very worthy cause.
